TFC Fellowship Applications Open in Honor of Trans Day of Visibility

This Trans Day of Visibility, we are excited to open our application for the next TRANSform Culture (TFC) Fellowship cohort! The TFC Fellowship is part of Pride Foundation’s TRANSform Culture Program in our Community Advocacy, Research, and Education (CARE) Department. Pride Foundation’s CARE Department supports LGBTQ+ cultural workers and community organizing efforts to celebrate and sustain the historical and future gender and sexual diversity of the Northwest and beyond, in pursuit of justice.

The TFC Fellowship represents our unapologetic commitment to the continued presence and improved well-being of Two-Spirit, Transgender, Nonbinary, and Intersex individuals (2STNBI) who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in the Northwest.

The TRANSform Culture Fellowship is a paid 12-month opportunity for BIPOC and 2STNBI individuals in the Northwest who are passionate about advocacy and storytelling. During the fellowship year, fellows will gain experience in community organizing and narrative power, culminating in an oral history interview with the CARE Team.

Fellows will also receive career and professional development support, with additional opportunities to build regional infrastructure for LGBTQ+ folks across the region. Each fellow receives a one-time $15,000 stipend, paid at the start of the fellowship, subject to applicable tax regulations.

You can read more about our new process, details of fellowship participation, our current priorities for recruitment, and review the application questions before you apply, here.

The 2025-2026 cohort marks our first open application process for all fellowship slots in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington (two fellows from each state). This new cohort will join our inaugural class of fellows, who helped shape the fellowship between 2023 and 2025. Graduates of the fellowship will be invited to join our Village Council alumni project, which provides further opportunities to access resources and build collective power.

The priority deadline is April 28, 2025. If you are a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington who is both BIPOC and 2STNBI, we highly encourage you to consider applying!
